Meet the Doctor
Dr. Elizabeth A. Farahbod earned a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) from Michigan State University and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from The University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston where she graduated with honors in top 10 of her class! Dr. Farahbod has been serving the Houston community and families with exceptional dental care and client service for over 8 years. For her advanced trainings, Dr. Farahbod attended The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies where she was trained in the most advanced techniques for Cosmetic Veneers, Occlusion and Full Mouth Reconstruction. Dr. Farahbod is a member of ADA, TDA, GHDS, AGD and Seattle Study Club. She has hosted a number of Dental Workshops in her office participating in training other doctors in Advanced Dental Procedures. Dr. Farahbod also volunteers at the local schools where she provides education and emphasizes on the importance of daily dental care. As a mom, Dr. Farahbod values highly the importance of strong family principles and as a community member, the importance of volunteer work. Cosmetic Dentistry

Dental Bridges

Dental Implants
Made from titanium posts, the implants attach directly to the jawbone and anchor a permanent artificial tooth. Due to the advancement in Implant Dentistry, dentists can now place implants with the same confidence and skills they’ve used in the past for crowns and bridges. Since healthy gums are essential for this procedure, implants are not recommended for those who suffer from chronic illness such as diabetes and smokers.
Dentures
A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissue. Complete dentures replace all the teeth, while a partial denture fills spaces created by missing teeth and prevents other teeth from shifting position. A denture not only improves speech and the ability to chew, but also provides support for the facial muscles thereby greatly enhancing the facial appearance and smile.
Gum Disease
The main cause of periodontal disease is bacterial plaque, a sticky, colorless film of bacteria that clings to teeth and gums. Even if you brush and floss every day, you may not completely remove plaque, especially around the gum line. The bacteria in plaque create toxins that break down and destroy the gums and bone that support the teeth. If left untreated, the periodontal disease can lead to tooth loss. The disease will cause the gums to separate from the teeth forming pockets (spaces between the teeth and gums) that become infected. As the disease progresses, the pockets deepen and more gum tissue and bone are destroyed. The procedure is used to restore the chewing surfaces of back teeth. As the result of high precision, both inlays (fit within the grooves between the cusps of your tooth) and onlays (fit within the grooves and wrap up and over the cusp tips to cover more of the tooth’s surface) are designed to fit your tooth perfectly
Lasers In Dentistry
Soft tissue lasers utilize a wavelength that is highly absorbable by water and hemoglobin which makes them more effective for soft tissue management. Soft tissue lasers penetrate soft tissue while sealing blood vessels and nerve endings, resulting in virtually no postoperative pain. As the result, they offer less bleeding, reduced swelling and faster healing. Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain Veneers are thin shells of ceramic material that are bonded to the front surface of a tooth creating beautifully shaped, aligned and white teeth. The procedure is used to close the gaps between the teeth and restore / protect worn, chipped and uneven teeth. Porcelain Veneers are also used for whitening teeth that have permanent stains, or teeth that have darkened naturally with age. Your First Visit
You will feel right at home from the first moment you visit our office. During your first visit, we will provide you with a comprehensive exam which includes a full set of Digital X-Ray using the low radiation sensors, intra-oral photos of your teeth, oral cancer screen and gum / periodontal measurements. In some cases, we also take molds of your teeth for further diagnostics evaluation. Dr. Farahbod and her staff inform and educate you during every step of the exam to ensure you have a thorough understanding of your oral condition and possible treatment as well as the options available to you for a better and healthier smile.
